Historique du nom: Saint Roch (XVIIIe siècle, Carte de Cassini), Saint Roch (1819, Cadastre), Saint-Roch (1958, Cadastre), Saint-Roch (2014, Carte IGN).
Avant la Révolution, on voyait, dans ce lieu, une chapelle dédiée à saint Roch. En 1791, elle fut vendue comme bien national.
